No Borders sat parked over the sprint trip before showing a superior turn of foot to win by almost a length from Cliffs Of Bounty.

Stubbs said he had taken a patient approach with the four-year-old mare.
"To win on debut was a pleasing effort," Stubbs said.
"She has always shown a bit of pace in her trials and she led in a jump-out and led again in her most recent trial at Wagga.
"She weakened in her Wagga trial but with a bit of progressive fitness under her belt, took that next step.
"It was a good effort under the circumstances."
Stubbs has had the daughter of Unencumbered in his care since she was broken in.
"I've had to take my time with her," he said.
"She had one preparation without racing, then had a break and come back in.
"I will just take one step at a time with her at the moment and I haven't really got any lofty ambitions for her.
"I'm just hoping for some natural improvement and that she will benefit from the race experience.
"There is a fillies and mares Class One at Corowa on Melbourne Cup eve that she could target next."
