Emergency services were called about 3.30pm on Wednesday after smoke was seen at the Parkland Drive home at the corner of Maple Court.
A smashed window could be seen at the property.
Detective Senior Constable Sarah Patrick said police were seeking witnesses.
"The cause is unknown at the moment," she said.
"A chemist is coming up from Melbourne to see if it's suspicious.

"Someone had been driving past and noticed smoke and called the fire brigade."
The home sustained a small amount of damage, with flames going up into the roof.
The property is being treated as a crime scene, as the fire didn't appear to be accidental.
