Australia plans to strengthen its trade ties with Thailand and has formulated a strategic partnership with the northern neighbour.

Prime Minister Scott Morrison on Friday inked the agreement with his Thai counterpart Prayut Chan-o-cha.
"Through this strategic partnership we will enhance cooperation in key areas, including defence and security, cyber affairs, anti-money laundering and combating transnational crime," Mr Morrison said.
"Ahead of tomorrow's East Asia Summit, hosted by Vietnam in virtual format, today's announcement will strengthen our engagement on economic recovery, political and security cooperation, and in the Mekong."
Thailand is one of Australia's top-10 regional trading partners.
The partnership comes as Australia faces ongoing export battles with China.
Chinese state media has reported that Australian sugar, barley, coal and timber would no longer be allowed into the country.
Winemakers have also been on high alert amid fears their product will be blocked from entering Australia's most valuable export market.
