McGrath Estate Agents have scheduled back-to-back Thursday night auctions beginning this week with a four-bedroom home in East Albury to go under the hammer followed by another in highly sought after Jones Street the following week.
Agent Phil Bell said the success of a Thursday night auction in Electra Street in early October had prompted his company to try more.
"Saturdays are getting so clogged up with auctions and open houses," he said.
"As agents we can handle it, but from a buyers' point of view they might have interest in a couple of properties or want to go to other open houses.
"On Saturdays you are also competing with kids' sport.
"The vendors are onboard.
"The worse case scenario is someone might have to leave work early to get to an auction.
"I've done them on Wednesday nights also, but that was years ago."
The Electra Street home sold at auction for $532,000 with 10 registered bidders for the property despite complications posed by COVID-19 restrictions at the time.
The latest home McGraths will attempt to sell under the hammer on a Thursday night is Downside Street with the property described as a "family wonderland of generous proportion".

Another Albury-based agency, Stean Nicholls, conducts the majority of house auctions in the city and prefers the traditional Saturday timeslot, which agent Jack Stean described as "game day".
"A lot more people have Saturdays off and if they are not working, they are not focused on other things during the day," he said.
"They are focused on the auction.
"You also get bigger crowds, better theatre, everything."
A fortnight ago Stean Nicholls sold a South Albury property at auction for $460,000 after selling another home in the same street a few weeks earlier.
The council had previously rejected a proposal to demolish the former hotel and home of Albury mayor and MP Thomas Griffith and build townhouses on the site.
