After defeating Bears Orbits comfortably last weekend, Comets were forced to work much harder to collect the points.
Jayde Gardiner and Ellissa Fulford turned in strong performances for the victors while Rebecca Kirkwood and Cassie Jones played well for Bears.
The scores were locked at nil-all late in the game before Comets managed to get players on bases and squeezed a hit to right field to score runs.
Bears then scored through Abbey Collins.
Play continues this weekend.
