Two large water bombers have been flying in and out of Albury in a bid to bring a fire at Deniliquin under control.

A converted 737 water tanker, named after former NSW Governor General Marie Bashir, and a smaller bomber were used to dump water on the blaze.
A warning had been placed on Monday morning after the fire started near the Cobb Highway, south of Deniliquin.
It had burnt through nearly 900 hectares by Monday afternoon.
RFS Albury air base manager David Turner said the aircraft flew between Albury and Deniliquin to refuel and refill with water.

"We're the closest air base that those large air tankers can land close to Deniliquin," he said.
"This is the first time they've been here this season.
"There have been a fair few people down here looking and taking pictures."
The bigger aircraft can be filled with about 15,000 litres of water and fire suppressant in about 10 minutes.
There are no planes permanently based in Albury yet this fire season but they could be deployed by next month depending on how the season progresses.
