In an annual event, the Wodonga and District Turf Club dedicate the day to apprentice jockeys, who ride exclusively at the meeting.
Apprentices received points from first to fifth place on the six-race card with the jockey with the most points receiving a trophy valued at $250.
Knobel, 26, competed against Albury apprentice Amanda Masters as well as Josh Cartwright, Jordan Childs, Jake Duffy, Jacob Lonregan and Erhan Kacmaz.
The mature age apprentice landed a winning double aboard Boltonian and Emma’s Blossom as well as two minor placings to claim back-to-back titles.
Knobel is indentured to Caulfield trainer Mick Price.
Wodonga trainer Sylvia Thompson was the only local trainer to land a winner with Lyrella, with the meeting dominated by visiting trainers.
