With the 2020 season cut short by COVID-19, Football Victoria has opted to introduce an under-17s league next year, but will also maintain all other age groups.
"It's essentially another age group in the competition," Murray United technical director Adam Carty said.

"If we don't want to field 16s and 17s, we don't have to. We can do one or the other.
"We'll aim for both, but if we can't I'd like to have under-17s because I think our 16s are talented enough to play at under-17 level.
"It would be the highest calibre of football in our region."
When the season was called off, Murray United offered an eight-week training program for its players, which wraps up this week.
The club's under-16s will take on the Albury-Wodonga Football Association's under-16 boys representative side in a practice match on Wednesday night.
