The Bethanga home of Posh Plonk Winery is for sale with a price tag of between $2 million and $2.2 million.
Set on 3.2 hectares, or 8 acres, on Lake Road, the vineyards, homestead, winery and subsequent buildings have already attracted plenty of interest from potential buyers, according to Stean Nicholls director Jack Stean.
"Posh Plonk will continue as a brand with Matt and Karen but the winery and all the machinery is up for sale.
"It has amazing weir views, it is quite rare to have a property with a view over a lake and a winery.
"It has been beautifully modernised but still has a real blend of the new and old with the wooden beams and staircase - the home itself is just really nice.
IN OTHER NEWS:
"For a small business, like these owners were when they bought it, there is a real opportunity.
"For someone who loves hospitality or loves wine there is a chance for someone to make it what they want - it is really exciting."
The 5-acre vineyard boasts grapes planted in 1996, divided into 3.5 acres of shiraz and 1.5 acres of durif.
There is also an automated, multi-zone irrigation system.
The 110-square-metre winery is an insulated Colorbond construction with hardstand at the front and includes a refrigerated fermentation tank, three 5000-litre holding tanks, basket press, grape crusher, testing lab, fruit bins, corking machine and bottle filler.
Mr Stean said they would be taking expressions of interest for the property until December 18.
"We have had plenty of interest so far," he said.
The four-bedroom home has 20-foot vaulted, hardwood ceilings flowing through the kitchen, living and dining room as well as Mongolian slate floor and floor-to-ceiling windows in the living and dining room.
Other features of the property include a three-megalitre, lined dam, plus fresh water bore, 100,000-litre house tank and 20,000-litre irrigation tank, automated irrigation system and automated treatment plant.
There is also a 16-kilowatt solar system, remote front gates and 300 metres of internal driveway to service the homestead, garage, winery, winery storage, and machinery shed.
Mr Stean said the Posh Plonk brand will continue to operate as a business, with the cellar door moving off the Bethanga property.
The owners Matt and Karen Daly are expected to open their newest venture Posh Plonk on Main in Chiltern on December 4.
Mr Daly was contacted for comment.
