A drug-fuelled rage has ended with a Holbrook man threatening to kill family members, a court has heard.

But what counted in his favour on sentencing was a defence submission that claimed Shaun Michael Youngman had now been drug-free for nine months.
Magistrate Richard Funston warned Youngman in Albury Local Court that he could not afford to resume his old habits.

"I think it's fair to say if you get back to using you'll just be back in jail," Mr Funston said.
Youngman was in court, pleading guilty to intimidation, over an incident at his parents' Corowa home on October 1, 2019.
Defence lawyer Tim Hemsley told the court Youngman's criminal history "is consistent with having a long-term drug and alcohol problem".
Mr Hemsley said a bond condition that he undergo regular testing for illicit drugs "would not be an issue for him".
The incident late last year began with Youngman arriving at his parents' home about 9pm.
Police said Youngman's addiction had been causing problems for his family "for a number of years".
On that night he turned-up in the hope of getting cash and cigarettes.
But he got into an argument with his sister, then began to scream and yell. This pattern continued, even after his father returned home.
After his father ordered him out, Youngman stood in the front yard screaming that he would slash the tyres of their cars and trucks "and would kill them".
Youngman was placed on a 12-month community corrections order.
