The clubs had lighting upgrades at their grounds pre-coronavirus and are eager to gain maximum value from their facilities in the early rounds.
Twilight or night games will be played across the opening six weeks of the competition and will involve every club.
Albury will host twilight matches against Yarrawonga, Wodonga and Wangaratta while Wodonga take on the Pigeons and North Albury.
Wangaratta Rovers host Albury under lights in round one.
Lavington, Myrtleford, Wangaratta and Wodonga Raiders also have twilight or night matches scheduled.
Tiger vice-president Dom Star said the club was excited to host the first game of the season against Yarrawonga.
"We see the twilight games as a way of engaging with the community," Star said.
"Some of the district clubs aren't playing late March so hopefully they come in for a look.
"When the draft came out we had a day game for Wangaratta but we asked for it to be pushed back so it would give more supporters a chance to see Ried (Ben) and Miles (Anthony) and the like play.
"We're big on the foot traffic these games can bring to local restaurants and pubs as well."
Wodonga president Mick Mathey said the twilight and night matches could open a new market for club.
"We're pretty happy with the draw," Mathey said.
"I think it will give Ovens and Murray people the opportunity to go to different games as well as people from the country coming in.
"The boys have trained under the lights and they are fantastic."
In a potential blockbuster, Yarrawonga will play Lavington at Mulwala's Lonsdale Reserve on Easter Sunday.
The Panthers meet Wangaratta in a replay of the 2019 grand final in round eight.
A general bye has been fixtured on May 22 for a possible Interleague clash with the Goulburn Valley league.
The draw also has split rounds in rounds 11 and 15.
The season starts on March 27.
