Three Fire and Rescue NSW vehicles responded to the blaze on the south bound ramp at 8:45am this morning, taking crews two hours to put out.
NSW Fire and Rescue Superintendent Stewart Alexander said bark chips in the bush and scrub area made the task difficult.

"It was a little bit difficult to extinguish, so we wanted to make sure it was completely out," he said.
The cause is unknown, but Superintendent Stewart has warned residents to make sure they dispose of cigarette butts in a safe manner as temperatures rise.
"With a total fire ban for most of NSW it's really important that if anyone has the slightest doubt about whether or not a fire has been reported to ring 000 immediately," he said.
