Firefighters have had a busy weekend as a large number of grass and scrub fires burnt in the North East and southern NSW.
Crews responded to multiple fires on the Hume Highway in the Albury region, a large fire which burnt crops and fences west of Finley, and other blazes at Culcairn, Beechworth and near Oaklands.
Rural Fire Service spokesman Greg Allan said a large water bomber was used on the fire near Finley.
An outbuilding was destroyed, 100 hectares of wheat burnt, 200 metres of fencing damaged and 50 hay bales destroyed.
