Firefighters have had a busy weekend as a large number of grass and scrub fires burnt in the North East and southern NSW.

Crews responded to multiple fires on the Hume Highway in the Albury region, a large fire which burnt crops and fences west of Finley, and other blazes at Culcairn, Beechworth and near Oaklands.
Rural Fire Service spokesman Greg Allan said a large water bomber was used on the fire near Finley.
An outbuilding was destroyed, 100 hectares of wheat burnt, 200 metres of fencing damaged and 50 hay bales destroyed.

Weather conditions are predicted to ease on Monday but the fire danger will increase on Tuesday.
"It's very important at this time of year that you and your family know what to do if fire threatens," he said.
"That involves having a bushfire survival plan.
"It's important to have those conversations with those around you."
Lightning on Saturday sparked some of the fires.
