It's alleged Raymond Williams, 32, crashed into a car at the intersection of Young and Dean streets, attacked the driver, and fled about 12.30am on November 25.

Wayne Williams, 30, allegedly crashed a car on Gap Road about 11.35am on Tuesday.

Both men were arrested after running from the scene.

Raymond Williams will return to court on Thursday and Wayne Williams will return on Tuesday.

Both have been refused bail in Albury Local Court.

EARLIER: Two men have been charged following two police chases in Albury.

About 12.30am on Wednesday, November 25 police attempted to stop a white Hyundai hatch, bearing Victorian registration plates, on Crisp Street, Albury.

"When the vehicle failed to stop, a pursuit was initiated, before being terminated a short time later for safety reasons," a NSW Police statement said.

"A short time later, the car was involved in a collision with another vehicle at the intersection of Young and Dean Streets, Albury.

"The driver, a 32-year-old man, exited the driver's seat and approached the driver of the second vehicle, before allegedly assaulting him and fleeing the scene."

Police said the front-seat passenger of the Hyundai received "serious spinal injuries" and was flown to Melbourne for treatment.

The incident was reported to police and officers from Murray River Police District commenced inquiries.

"About 11.35am on Tuesday, December 1 police attempted to stop a silver Nissan Pulsar on Ryan Road, Glenroy," the statement said.

"When the vehicle failed to stop, a pursuit was initiated.

"The car continued south on Gap Road, Albury, before the driver lost control and the vehicle came to rest against a guard rail at the corner of Gap Road and Queen Street.

"The 30-year-old male driver and 32-year-old male passenger fled on foot, before being arrested a short distance away and taken to Albury Police Station."

The 30-year-old man was charged with police pursuit - not stop - drive recklessly, larceny, breach of bail, and unlicensed driver.

The 32-year-old man was charged with police pursuit - not stop - drive recklessly, aggravated driving occasioning grievous bodily harm, dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm, stalk/intimidate intend fear physical etc harm, drive manner dangerous, destroy or damage property, fail to stop and assist after vehicle impact cause grievous bodily harm, drive motor vehicle during disqualification period, responsible person not disclose drivers details and assault.

Both were refused bail to appear in Albury Local Court on Wednesday, December 2.
