THURGOONA'S prospects of remaining a force in the Tallangatta and District league will become clearer when it takes on Kiewa-Sandy Creek in round one at Thurgoona next season.
In a fixture unveiled by league officials, the Bulldogs will unfurl their 2019 premiership flag on March 27 under the coaching of Kade Brown and Dan Cleary.
The reigning premier will have a vastly different list with many premiership players retiring or moving to the Hume league.
Beechworth take on Wodonga Saints in round one but the clash will be moved to the inter-league bye on May 22 if the Bushrangers make the Wangaratta Cricket Association grand final.
In other first round clashes, Chiltern meet Barnawartha, Tallangatta take on Mitta United, Wahgunyah do battle with neighbours Rutherglen and Yackandandah host Dederang-Mt Beauty.
A bye has been scheduled for the Easter long weekend.
Kiewa Sandy Creek host a night game against Tallangatta under lights at Tangambalanga in round two while Wodonga Saints will play Wahgunyah at Sandy Creek due to Martin Park being unavailable.
The Hawks will play a second twilight match against Mitta United in round nine.
The grand final has been set down for September 11
