Wodonga police grabbing a coffee about 5am Sunday saw the woman get out of a small white Toyota and verbally abuse the driver behind her in the queue.
Leading Senior Constable Neil Hobbs said the incident occurred at the McDonald's restaurant on Anzac Parade and the man, in a white four-wheel-drive, then spoke to police.
Officers approached the woman, whose car was stuck in the queue, removed her keys, moved the car and conducted a preliminary breath test that returned a positive result.
Leading Senior Constable Hobbs said the 19-year-old P-plater from Wodonga, who held a NSW licence, returned a blood alcohol reading of 0.071 at the station and had a previous drink-driving offence.
