Tournament director Phil Shanahan said both the Margaret Court Cup at Albury grasscourts and the Victorian Junior Grasscourt Championships at Wodonga Tennis Centre were set to go ahead, with Sydney's COVID-19 outbreak to be closely monitored by Tennis Australia.
The events attract around 400 players and Mr Shanahan said "more than 100 entries" had been received less than a week out from the December 29 deadline for the Margaret Court Cup, which starts on January 8.

"There's a lot of interest from people, but you don't know what they are going to think with the border closures," he said.
"Even though we've lost our foreign players and we were over 400 entries last year, I'm not sure what we're going to get to this year."
Mr Shanahan said two Western Australian players had entered the event.
