Jackson is one of six first-time nominees for the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, which includes the late Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan.
"I was down the street in Albury doing some Christmas shopping today (Wednesday) and checked my texts and that's how I found out, I text mum straight away," she said.

"I was very aware of the Naismith Hall of Fame just because I was so passionate about basketball and when I was growing up it was all the NBA legends, so I feel hugely honoured to be nominated, it's a bit of a dream come true."

Boston Celtics star Paul Pierce is among the candidates with the finalists to be named during this season with the Class of 2021 ceremony scheduled for September.
Jackson is a member of multiple Halls of Fame, including Basketball Australia, Sport Australia and (US) Women's Basketball.
