Best Border Easter Egg Hunt organisers said the ongoing uncertainty around COVID-19 restrictions led to the decision.
"We had to make it very early due to purchasing the stock and that, we didn't want to take the chance," committee chairman Vince Glenane said.
"We would still do it if we were able to do it, but the cost is too high if we had to cancel it (later)."
