The Schorobura Park name will be moved from the reserve on Rooney Avenue to Perkins Street out of respect to local Aboriginal communities.

Teofil and Vera Schorobura arrived in Australia in 1949 and lived in the Bonegilla migrant camp for two years and spent the rest of their lives in Wodonga.
In July last year, the council resolved to give public notice of its intention to relocate the Schorobura Park name with two submissions received including one which stated the park name should stay due to the park's location on an Aboriginal burial ground being "common knowledge".
A replacement name for the Rooney Avenue reserve will be found and existing park facilities retained.
The park name relocation was moved by Cr Kat Bennett and seconded by Cr John Watson last month.
