Albury Wodonga Farmers Market, Saturday, January 9, Junction Square Wodonga, 8am to 12pm
After a week off due to the border closure impacting the usual home for the weekend market, Gateway Village, the Albury Wodonga Farmers Market is back today from 8am with all the usual stall holders. Market organisers were forced to cancel last week's market due to not having anywhere to hold it. Despite the border restrictions, the market remains accessible to shoppers from both sides of the border and it will be held at Junction Square in Wodonga.
FOOTY GREAT
Wayne Schwass, Corryong Recreation Reserve, Saturday, January 9, meet and greet 3pm, presentation 7pm
Former AFL star Wayne Schwass will speak in Corryong tonight at an event aimed at bringing the community together. Corryong Health has organised for Schwass to speak at a function at the Corryong Recreation Reserve from 7pm after a meet and greet is organised from 3pm. Schwass is a passionate advocate of mental health after he announced in 2006 that he had suffered from depression during his successful AFL career. Entry is $5 but due to a cap on numbers bookings are essential and can be made by calling 6076 3200.
SUNDAY PICNIC
Community wood-fired pizza oven, Belvoir Park, Wodonga, Sunday, January 10, 11am to 2pm
A picnic in the park is back on the agenda in Wodonga on Sunday when Wodonga Council will again fire up their pizza ovens in Belvoir Park. Staff will be on site from 11am to 2pm to cook your hand-made pizzas. Pack up your pizza bases, sauces and favourite toppings and enjoy a picnic lunch outdoors.

CBL Round 1 tip off, Wodonga vs Seymour, Wodonga Sports and Leisure Centre, Saturday, January 9, 6pm
Local sport is back on the agenda tonight when the first round of the Country Basketball League kicks off. Both the men's and women's Wodonga Wolves team will take on the Seymour Blasters. Tip off is at 6pm.
