The NSW Premier has suggested more conversations needed to be had before Victoria closed its border with NSW.
Gladys Berejiklian was again asked where she stood with the hard border closure with the southern state during her daily morning coronavirus press conference on Sunday.
Ms Berejiklian said her position on the closure "has been made very clear" and urged other state leaders to talk to NSW before closing their borders.
"I would simply say please talk to us before you close a border, and secondly we have demonstrated our capacity in NSW," she said.
"But sometimes when there is an unexpected break out you do have to see where that goes in the first 24 to 48 hours before closing the border.

"It can affect 10s or 100s of thousands of people in NSW."
Ms Berejiklian said when the decision was made from her end to close the border with Victoria in July there was a "three-way conversation" had with the Victorian Premier and Prime Minister.
"It was a big decision for us to make and we spoke to the Victorian Premier and Prime Minister at length before we announced that closure," she said.
"Decisions are made quickly and directly but at a political level we should also talk to each other."
