Twelve months on from devastating bushfires, combined with the ongoing struggles of the pandemic, saw Corryong Health bring the former sportsman to town.
"His presentation really resonated with everyone there," Corryong Health community inclusion administrator Tahnia Whitsed said.
IN OTHER NEWS:
"While the numbers weren't what we expected, there were still about 50 people there who were able to have a chat with Wayne afterwards which I think was really important.
"Given the year we have all had, these events are so important in bringing everyone together and speaking openly about our mental health.
"We have already had discussions about getting Wayne back." Ms Whitsed said they are continuing to look at bringing other guest speakers to the community.
