The Panthers got all rinks up in the 73-43 triumph.
Howlong ensured it too won't be a pushover with a 73-44 result away to reigning premiers North Albury.
The Hoppers fared better in grade five with a 63-42 win at Oaklands, Commercial downed Culcairn, 74-55, while Walla pipped Henty by the barest of margins, 62-61.

Lavington were 31-shot victors against Holbrook in grade six, 72-41, Commercial toppled Rand, 73-53, while North Albury got the points away to Howlong, 64-47.
Grade seven saw North Albury outclass Howlong, 81-44, while Walla overcame Henty, 66-58.
The grade three season starts on Saturday with Lavington to host North Albury and Culcairn to face Henty.
