Woolworths have issued an urgent recall of coleslaw sold in border supermarkets due to fears it potentially contains salmonella.

The supermarket giant said the affected coleslaw was sold at White Box Rise, Lavington, Bright, Albury Central, Benalla, Wodonga, Cobram, Yarrawonga Central, Corowa and Wangaratta stores.
The recall affects Woolworths Coleslaw 110g, 250g, 400g and 800g (ID 793406, 546843, 382779 and 311534) with Use By Dates up to and including 21 Jan.
In a statement Woolworths said it was "recalling these products due to the potential presence of microbial contamination - salmonella. Food products with potential microbial contamination may cause illness if consumed."

Consumers should return the product to their nearest Woolworths Supermarket for a full refund. Any customers concerned about their health should seek medical advice.
