The Cricket Albury-Wodonga District club was successful in their application for the grant to assist them in purchasing COVID-19 safety equipment, signage and QR code set ups, as clubs continue to combat the effects of the pandemic.
Club treasurer Shelley Lancaster said members were extremely appreciative of the funding.
"We rely heavily on sponsorship and fundraising to meet the running costs of our little club, both of which have been harder to come by this season, and in some cases, non-existent," Lancaster said.

"Whilst we are aware that the COVID-19 compliance equipment was essential to have for the safety of everyone, the cost was also a little daunting in what was already a lower financial turnover season.
"Particularly as we have two home grounds at separate locations to make compliant."
The Grassroots Cricket Fund is a joint partnership of players, the Australian Cricketers' Association and Cricket Australia in an effort to strengthen grassroots cricket for future generations.
Grants of up to $2000 have been made available to aid with the cost of COVID-19 compliance equipment and playing gear for those who may need a hand.
Kiewa Cricket Club is one of over 2000 clubs who have so far benefited from the grants to aid with equipment and facilities, with over $6 million so far delivered through the initiative.
