The Giants relocated to Albury from Sydney on January 1 with the intention of moving into Victoria, and then Western Australia for their round one game against Fremantle.
However, subsequent border closures have removed Victoria as a viable option with an alternative destination required.

With the South Australian border set to open to regional NSW from midnight Thursday, the Giants are able to relocate to Adelaide, having now spent more than 14 days out of Greater Sydney.
The move to Adelaide ensures the Giants meet current border guidelines and can play round one in Perth against Fremantle on January 31.
Prior to that, the Giants will play a practice match against Adelaide on Sunday at Norwood Oval.
"We thank the Albury City Council and the wider Albury community for welcoming us over the past two weeks," Giants general manager of football Jason McCartney said.
"We've had great facilities and everything needed to continue our program at the highest possible level.
"We've seen once again over the past fortnight that it's an ever-changing landscape, but we're working with the AFL for the best possible outcome to see the season continue as planned.
"Once again we thank our players and staff for the way they've embraced the move with open arms and continued to work diligently to ensure they are ready for round one."
