The terrified victim fled, not realising the small black Glock wielded by Shane Schwarz-Muse was actually a replica.
Schwarz-Muse and the other man had just been in a punch-up following a confrontation between the accused, the victim and the victim's partner.
IN OTHER NEWS:
After pulling the gun, Schwarz-Muse walked to the park's front office to ask the manager to call the police.
As he did, Albury Local Court has heard, the victims approached him again.
"What about now, do you wanna fight now?" the man asked Schwarz-Muse, who pulled the pistol out of his pocket, pointed it again at the victim and replied: "F ... you. I shoot ya."
Schwarz-Muse was arrested after Saturday's incident and bailed two days later.
The 32-year-old disability pensioner - who has numerous violence-related convictions in Victoria - later pleaded guilty to possessing an unauthorised firearm and two charges of using an offensive weapon to commit an indictable offence.
He was at a friend's cabin about 12.45pm when the man approached him to say someone was waiting for him at his own cabin.
Schwarz-Muse walked back and spoke to the man's partner.
On returning to the friend's cabin he crossed paths with the other man, just as the woman yelled out that Schwarz-Muse had "just had a go at her".
The man pushed Schwarz-Muse, who pushed back.
After more pushing and shoving the victim punched him to the face.
"The accused," police said, "returned a punch towards the victim before grabbing and tackling him to the ground."
Schwarz-Muse retrieved a knife from his cabin, then on heading back outside saw the woman holding a shovel and her partner a stick.
They threatened him, so he pulled out the knife and waved it at the pair.
He then got the replica pistol from a drawer in his cabin.
Schwarz-Muse will be sentenced on February 23.
