Guilfoyle has 12 years' experience working in community football in the North East Border region and has held roles in management, and most recently, lead football development manager.
Guilfoyle commenced his new role this week.
Existing football development manager Zac Hedin will now take on the position of lead responsibilities in game development activities for the region.

AFLNEB has been able to retain all of its staff, who will return to work on a full-time basis.
However, access to the Wodonga and Wangaratta offices will remain limited.
After the cancellation of football and netball seasons across the North East in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, AFLNEB remains positive that clubs will see a return to play this year.
The time off allowed the organisation to examine its structure.
