The franchise restaurant has been feeding Border residents and visitors for the past 17 years, with current owners Kee Sub Pike and Anneliese Luftensteiner taking it over almost five years ago.
In a Facebook post addressed to their loyal customers, the pair said the financial impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic had resulted in them having to make the difficult decision.
"It has been a trying year for us all and unfortunately we have not been immune to the economic fallout of the pandemic," owners said.
"There have been many variables that have led to this outcome, many out of our control.
IN OTHER NEWS:
"This has been the most difficult and emotional decision to make.
"This restaurant has been home and family to me for most of my life."
Mr Sub Pike went on to thank current and past staff and the community for dining with them over the years.
"I would like to thank each and every individual for coming to our restaurant and sharing a meal, a moment, a celebration, a birthday, an anniversary or a date night with us," he said.
"Without the wonderful customers we have, I would not have been able to do what I have loved doing as a franchise.
"It has been an absolute privilege serving you all."
Sunday, January 31 will be their last dinner service.
Diners have been urged to keep an eye on the Hog's Breath Cafe Albury Facebook page to see what they have in store for their final weeks in operation.
Bookings are needed.
"We will see you all for one last laugh and a good time," the owners said.
