Co-coaches Daryn Cresswell and Jamason Daniels put the senior list through their paces in Wangaratta on Saturday, marking what was a first time encounter for some players.
"We're very pleased with the attendance and it was a great opportunity for our travelers who are down in Melbourne for work or uni to come back and join the group," Rovers' football operations manager Barry Sullivan said.

"We were pretty happy with the level of fitness of everyone after the Christmas break."
While the club has welcomed a number of new recruits, Sullivan said they're also looking forward to seeing how their 2018 thirds premiership players have progressed.
Ed Dayman, Ky Williamson and Alessandro Belci are among some of the club's past under-18 grand finalists to ascend the senior ranks this season.
"They've become young men now, so we're hoping to get some good improvement out of them," Sullivan said.
"We hope some of these players are 200-game players and play with the club for the next 10 or so years.
"The recruits we've targeted, hopefully they add some value and help bring those young developing players along."
