Emergency crews have rushed to the scene of an accident in the Snowy Valleys where a motorcycle has crashed.

A NSW Ambulance spokesperson said it is believed that a man came off his motorbike onto gravel just after midday on Sunday along the Snowy Mountains Highway at Blowering Dam.
A rescue helicopter was also tasked to attend the incident from Orange, and police were also believed to be on scene.

The road was closed to traffic in both directions until about 3pm, but has since reopened with stop/slow signage in place to control road users.
It is believed no other vehicles were involved in the crash.
At this stage, details of the man's age and condition are unavailable.
