The pair were placed on spinal boards as a precaution following the crash.
It took emergency services about four hours to recover the patients.
EARLIER: Emergency services remain on the scene of a challenging high angle rescue at Stanley.
A vehicle crashed down an embankment on Rawes Track, in the Nine Mile Creek Historic Area, about 12.50pm on Tuesday.
The car reportedly hit a tree and left a man in his late teens and woman in her 20s struck in steep terrain.
There is no risk of the vehicle further falling, but specialist crews have been working to return the pair to the roadside in a two-stage rescue.
IN OTHER NEWS:
It's likely they will be transported to a North East hospital with injuries, including neck and back pain.
The injuries are not life threatening.
Firefighters, the SES, police and paramedics are involved in the incident, which has been ongoing for more than four hours.
