Ross Pawson claimed the former Test wicketkeeper Peter Nevill during Northern District's outright win over the latter's Eastern Suburbs in NSW Premier action last weekend, finishing with match figures of 6-54.
"We haven't won outright in first grade since 2009-10, so it was one of our better weekends," Pawson offered.
Northern is fifth in a six-team finals format (there's 20 sides in the league), with three two-dayers and a 50-over match left.
Pawson is in his sixth season with the Sydney outfit after mixing the three previous years between Lavington and Ginninderra in the ACT, where he completed an exercise science degree at the University of Canberra.

Pawson, who was clocked at 133kms in 2018, has been so impressive, he's attracted the eye of ACT-NSW Country Comets' selectors, with that team a chance to play State Second XI games shortly - COVID-19 pending.
