Federal funding of $600,000 has been allocated to redevelop the Alpine Hotel in Bright, and Falls Creek and Mt Hotham will undergo $2.5 million upgrades.
Towong Shire will receive $5 million for tourism on the Great River Road, Upper Murray Inc will receive money to prevent power outages, and smoke sensors will be installed in the King Valley to assist the decisions of the region's winemakers.
$2 million will also be spent at Dinner Plain.
Member for Indi Helen Haines welcomed Sunday's announcement.

"Today was a great day in the long process to recover from last year's terrible bushfires," she said.
"Indi secured 60 per cent of all the bushfire recovery funds in Victoria, which is testament to the quality of the applications received from across our region.
"The 10 successful projects in Indi are all incredibly worthy and I know how much it will mean to each of these communities to have this much-needed investment in the future of our region."
Senator Bridget McKenzie said the funding would help industries get back on their feet.
"The North East and high country were hit extremely hard by last summer's devastating bushfires and the road to recovery remains a long one," she said.
"It's fantastic to see these latest projects get the green light.
"This investment is all about stimulating the economy, driving jobs and visitation and helping key industries get back on their feet - another step towards building economic resilience and making sure businesses, workers and communities get the support they need."
