Sexualised conversations, including asking girls' ages, were allegedly found on the 61-year-old's mobile phone.
It's alleged he paid for live child abuse online.
His case remains before the courts with the matter to return on March 26.

Officers in the Asian country launched an operation north of Manila last Wednesday after receiving information from Australian authorities.
A 42-year-old woman was arrested for her alleged role in facilitating online child sexual abuse.
Footage shows her being led from a home, flanked by officers armed with rifles.
Children were carried or walked from the property as onlookers watch on.
The investigation remains ongoing.
AFP Detective Superintendent Andrew Perkins said officers worked "hand-in-glove" with other agencies to fight child exploitation.
"This arrest in the Philippines demonstrates the effectiveness of the Philippine Internet Crimes Against Children Centre, of which the AFP via our international command in the Philippines is a partner agency,"he said.
"It also highlights the close working relationships between the AFP and the Philippine authorities as well as all our domestic partners who work to ensure the protection of children around the world."
