A probationary driver has had his car impounded after performing a 20 metre burnout directly in front of a marked police car.

Officers were behind the blue Ford Falcon utility on Thursday night.
The 18-year-old driver spun the wheels of his car at the intersection of Vickers and Wagga roads as police watched on, leaving tyre marks over 20 metres.
Other drivers had to take evasive action to avoid being struck.
The driver was quickly intercepted and had his licence suspended.
The vehicle will be impounded for 90 days at a cost of $1822.
The vehicle also received a defect notice for having a non-compliant exhaust system and for modifications to the suspension.
The teenager will face Albury Local Court on March 29.
"It is alarming to see a person behind the wheel of a car - particularly in a residential street - behaving in this manner," Superintendent Paul Smith said.
"People should be able to use our roads safely and acts like this put people at risk."
In other police news, a drug driver was caught travelling at 142km/h on the Riverina Highway at Bungowannah on Wednesday afternoon.
The 43-year-old an was pulled over and tested, which returned a positive result for methamphetamine.
Police are awaiting further test results.
Two drivers were also caught speeding on the Hume Highway at Woomargama a day earlier.
A probationary driver was clocked at 164km/h and a man with an expired international licence was caught at 152km/h at the same time.
