The powerful combination of Bathurst trainer Amanda Turnbull and driver Leigh Sutton landed a successful raid with Sonny Weaver in the $17,850 Albury Pacers Cup (2550m) on Friday night.

Resuming from a short break Sonny Weaver recorded several minor placings at Melton last preparation and notched his first win since September.
Sutton said it was a credit to Turnbull to have the horse fit enough to win first-up over the marathon journey.
"The draw made it easy for me and a little bit of tempo from the 1200m was perfect for him," Sutton said.
"He loves being coiled up on the fence and is a fast little fella.
"I love coming to Albury and this place has been good to me and it's a huge thrill to win the cup.
"I would like to thank Amanda and the owners for giving me the opportunity to drive the horse."

Sutton elected to take a sit from the pole draw with the $2.00 race favourite Major Delico spearing to the front to lead the five-horse field.
The small field raced in indian file until Rusty Crackers came from last to sit outside the leader with a lap to travel.
Sonny Weaver enjoyed the run of the race before Sutton hooked at three wide on the home turn.
Once straightening, Sonny Weaver ($4.20) surged to the lead to hand Turnbull and Sutton their first victory in the Albury feature.
Adding further merit, Sonny Weaver recorded the second fastest last 800m ever recorded at the paceway.
Sonny Weaver produced splits of 27.9 and 28 to come home in a sizzling 58.9 to complete a 2:02.5 mile rate.
