The 33-year-old is set to feature across half-back and through the middle for the Hawks.

"He's experienced and he's a quality user of the footy. Across half-back, it's really important these days being able to read the play and use the footy well," Rovers' football operations manager Barry Sullivan said.
"He's getting more towards the end of his career than the beginning, but he just wants to enjoy his footy.
"He's heard a lot about the Ovens and Murray and wants to give it a go.

"He's had a training run with us and he's a lovely young bloke."
Sullivan said Jones is good friends with another of the club's new recruits Todd Grayson, which got the conversation started.
"There was a connection there and he was very keen to come up and have a talk to us," Sullivan said.
"It all worked out well and we're hoping he can have an impact for us."
The Hawks have been extremely active on the recruitment front with Grayson, QAFL midfielder Tom Thynne, Tyler Cornish, former captain Tyson Hartwig, Jamason Daniels, Heidelberg premiership player Ryan Stone and forward Alex Marklew among the impressive list to sign under coach Daryn Cresswell.
