Twin City Classic Vehicle Club will present a drive-in movie experience showing the Aussie cult film Running on Empty. Gates open at 6pm, movie starts at 7.30pm. Food and drinks available at the canteen. Buy tickets at the gate via Fallon Street (no entry after 8.30pm) Cost: $12 adult, $6 child. This is an alcohol-free event. QR check-in on arrival.
RETRO REVIVAL
Live theatre is back in Albury Botanic Gardens after a prolonged absence amid the coronavirus crisis. The Other Theatre Company will present a retelling of William Shakespeare's comedy The Merchant of Venice over two weekends. It gets an epic, retro overhaul! BYO chair, blanket, picnic and alcohol. Listen for pop culture references! The show also runs next Friday and Saturday, 7pm to 9.30pm. Tickets are available from trybooking.com at or the gate.
TOTALLY COOL
Tumbafest, Saturday, February 27, and Sunday, February 28
Tumbafest is the annual flagship event for Tumbarumba, the picturesque town in the NSW Snowy Mountains. It is a celebration of quality music and local cool climate food and wine. Live music lineup boasts Chocolate Starfish, Velvetsmyle, The New Graces, The Eldorado Union, Mollie Waters, The Convicts, The Mighty Yak and Hurricane Fall. Check out a huge range of market and food stalls, found on the back corner of the festival grounds. The family-friendly event offers amusement rides. Live music from noon Saturday and 11am Sunday.
GAME ON
The Storm has named a star-studded line-up including co-captains Jesse Bromwich and Dale Finucane. The Knights will also have four players with State of Origin experience. Limited tickets are available at ticketebo.com.au.

Fusing art and technology, Experimenta Make Sense presents art installations that are exciting and thought-provoking. Activities include immersive animation, origami making and sonic-sound experiences.

Apple picking is back for the new season. Europa Gully Orchard will offer new-season gala apples, nashis and pears for pick-your-own this weekend. All fruit is $2.50/kg. BYO buckets, boxes, bags and containers.
