It's the first time a regional school has hosted a NAB League fixture with Western Jets to make the trip north for the clash.
The opportunity to host a match at the school has been several years in the making, with former Cathedral College principal Adrian Farrer, Ian Collins, new principal Nick Jones and Briana Cossar, who was the Murray Bushrangers girls talent coordinator in recent seasons, all instrumental in the process.
Assistant coach Mario de Santa-ana said the group trained strongly this week after a 10-day break before last weekend's game due to Victoria's snap lockdown.
"Historically we've played at the major venues around the region, but this is the first time a regional school has hosted a NAB League game, boys or girls," he said.
"I think the girls were a bit worried restrictions were going to kick in like they did last season, but they were really on their game at training and the intensity was good."

Cathedral College student Sam Peppler, Sophie Boyle, Lily Kozuharoff, Isabella Symes, Natasha Wilson and Matilda Lyons are among the inclusions.
"We're not really sure what to expect, but we're pretty enthusiastic about the group we've got on the ground, de Santa-ana said.
"Matilda Lyons is from Alpine Lions and makes her debut at 14 and Tash Wilson plays for Thurgoona and is 14 as well."
First bounce is at 12.15pm.
