An off-duty police officer has been charged with drink-driving in Lavington.
The 48-year-old Sergeant attached to a command in the Southern Region, who is currently on leave, was stopped around midnight on Sunday.
Officers from the Traffic and Highway Patrol Command were conducting stationary random breath-testing on McDonald Road when they stopped the Sergeant, who was driving a Holden sedan.
He was breath-tested and returned a positive reading.
He was arrested and taken to Albury Police Station where a breath analysis returned an alleged reading of 0.084.
A Court Attendance Notice was served for middle-range drink-driving and his licence was suspended.
He is due to appear at Albury Local Court on Tuesday 9 March 2021.
