A Country Fire Authority spokeswoman said four CFA trucks attended the fire just after 6am at a property on Barnawartha-Howlong Road.
Those attending reported the tractor was "fully involved", she said.
The incident was brought under control by 6.25am, there were no reports of injuries or of the fire spreading beyond the farm vehicle.
The spokeswoman said there was no indication given how the fire began.
Three trucks came from Barnawartha brigade and one from Browns Plains.
In a separate incident, emergency services were called to the Ebden boat ramp Tuesday at 7am after reports of a submerged vehicle.
"The unoccupied vehicle was removed from the water," a Victoria Police spokeswoman said.
"Police have spoken with the registered owner of the vehicle and aren't treating the incident as suspicious."
