In a major coup for the Riverina league club, Daly is set to be a huge inclusion after spending time working at Nyngan in central NSW.
Daly played his 50th Ovens and Murray league match in 2019 with Wodonga Raiders coach Jarrod Hodgkin still eager to find a replacement defender.
Tasmania's Tyron Rainbird has also committed to play at Leeton-Whitton.
New coach Sam Darley is looking forward to seeing the pair in action.
"Adding Alex and Tyron to the team has given everyone a bit of a boost I think," Darley said.
"Everyone's been working really hard at training, so it's starting to come together."
The Crows will face reigning premier Wagga Tigers in round one on April 17.
Meanwhile, Wodonga Raiders will play Corowa-Rutherglen in a practice match at Wodonga Secondary College from 6pm on Friday.
The Raiders will then take on Goulburn Valley league clubs Benalla and Shepparton United to round out their pre-season.
This weekend's pre-season matches will appear in The Border Mail later this week.
