Troy Lindsay Rudd's conduct was slammed when he fronted Albury Local Court via a video link to jail.

Magistrate Richard Funston was aghast that Rudd could so flagrantly ignore the court-imposed apprehended domestic violence orders.

What further aggravated what he did, Mr Funston said, was Rudd committing the crimes in front of his children at a time when he was already serving a sentence for previous offences.

"Anyone who commits domestic violence offences while on a lengthy community corrections order for domestic violence is facing a lengthy jail sentence," he said.

"Going out straight after court, that sends a terrible message for me.

"That kind of behaviour is not going to be tolerated.

"And then to use the children like that is absolutely terrible."

The court was told that Rudd, 28, of Wantigong Street, breached the apprehended violence order on December 29.

He fronted court the next morning over the matter.

But by 11.30am that day, December 30, he had returned to the Crisp Street, Albury, home of the victim and their children.

He opened a side gate and made his way to the back door.

But he couldn't get into the house so shouted: "I just want my f ... ing kids."

"You're not supposed to be here," the victim called back.

Rudd went to the front door and was let inside by one of the children.

Police said the victim told Rudd to leave the house "multiple times" but he wouldn't go; instead, he walked into the kitchen and continued to argue.

He then grabbed the woman's mobile phone and smashed the device outside, causing $300 damage.

Defence lawyer Sascha McCorriston said Rudd was "ashamed and remorseful for what he has done".

Rudd pleaded guilty to several AVO breach charges and to destroy or damage property.

He was placed on a 12-month intensive corrections order.
