Dale added his name to the cup honour roll after Little Red Devil won the feature mile in 2017.

Suburbia is also an acceptor for the Corowa Cup on Saturday with Dale favouring a trip to Towong with a small field of only seven runners.

The Matthew Dale Banger is also a dual acceptor for both cups.

Banger will start a short-priced favourite in the Towong feature if Dale opts that way after recently winning a TAB Highway at Rosehill.

Suburbia is also in good form after winning at Wodonga two starts back before being narrowly beaten at Kilmore at his most recent run.

Dale said he expected Suburbia to prove ultra competitive at Towong.

"The small field of seven will suit him and the final field could be even smaller with a couple of runners accepting for both Towong and Corowa," Dale said.

"It was a huge thrill to win the cup a few years ago and as a trainer I always like to support the club when I can.

"It's no secret that the community has been doing it tough up there and the race day is always a good social outlet.

"Suburbia will head up there in good form after winning at Wodonga and was only just missed at Kilmore when running second."

Dale said Suburbia could aim for an all-the-way win with his light-weight of 53.5kg after the claim of apprentice Alexandra Bryan.

"He does go up in class but drops 9kg from his most recent run," Dale said.
