Border residents are being warned there will be large amounts of smoke around over the weekend as fire crews burn off along Nail Can Hill.

NSW Rural Fire Service are conducting planned hazard reduction burns along the hill on both Saturday and Sunday, weather permitting.
In a warning put out by the RFS, the controlled burn is planned to have "minimal impact on the environment and the community".
IN OTHER NEWS:
"Keep doors and windows closed to prevent smoke from entering your home, remove washing from clothes lines, ensure pets have a protected area and if you're driving through a smoky area, slow down, keep your windows up and turn your headlights on," the warning says.
"If bushwalkers or bike riders could stay away from the immediate area as the area will be unsafe for members of the public during the burn timeframe."
