
The Olympic Highway has been closed near Young due to flooding as the state sees another day of heavy rainfall.
The highway is closed in both directions outside Young on the way to Cowra. Motorists are being diverted via Henry Lawson Way.
A number of local roads in the Carrathool Shire near Griffith are also closed due to flooding.

As NSW continues to see heavy rainfall, the city has managed to avoid a severe weather warning issued for much of the state.
The Bureau of Meteorology issued the warning for the entire east coast, with heavy rainfall and flash flooding forecast as far inland as the South West Slopes.

It comes as more than 18,000 people across eastern NSW have already been evacuated due to a widespread flooding emergency along the coast, with conditions expected to continue until Wednesday.
In Albury, 37.4 millimetres of rain was recorded in the city in the 72 hours to 9am Tuesday.
