
Several major roads across the Riverina are still inaccessible after days of rain culminated in flooding and closures on Tuesday.
Just shy of 100mm of rain was recorded at West Wyalong in the last 48 hours, with a staggering 94.6mm bucketing down on the town, according to the Bureau of Meterology.
Temora was also hit heavily, recording 64mm since 9am on Sunday. Wagga wasn't far behind with an official rainfall of 62mm for the same period.
Travel to West Wyalong from Temora remains restricted, with traffic diverted via Burley Griffin Way and the Newell Highway, with Goldfields Way off-limits due to floodwaters.

The Burley Griffin Way, which was down to stop-slow conditions between Temora and Wallendbeen yesterday, has since fully reopened.
Drivers are urged to use caution as they travel along Burley Griffin Way between Temora and Ariah Park due to water over the road at various locations.
Meanwhile, the Newell Highway remains closed in both directions between West Wyalong and Forbes.
Anyone wishing to journey west from Forbes will instead have to travel through Grenfell, Young and Wallendbeen before rejoining the Newell Highway at Mirrool.
The Olympic Highway is still closed between Young and Cowra, with motorists to detour along Henry Lawson Way in both directions.
Live Traffic lists water hazards along several sections of the region's roads, with warnings over the Burley Griffin Way near Rogers Road at Ariah Park, the Newell Highway between Burley Griffin Way and Mirrool South Road, and stop/slow conditions on the Midwestern Highway west of West Wyalong at North Yalgogrin.
Temora and Bland councils advises a number of local roads are closed, including the latter's unsealed road network being off-limits to vehicles over three tonnes.
It includes Hately's Lane, Quandialla Road from West Wyalong to Quandialla, Mary Gilmore Way East from Barmedman to Weddin Shire, Tallimba Road between West Wyalong and Tallimba, Madamah Forest Road and the town bypass for light vehicles.
Water over the road has closed Grogan Stockinbingal Road between Milvale Road and Stockinbingal, Mary Gilmore Way between Ariah Park and Grenfell, Temora Shire Council advised late on Tuesday night.
Also closed were Trungley Hall Road, Morangarell Road, Boginderra Road, Baldwins Lane, Howards Road, Taylors Road, Fergusons Road, Thornes Road, Springdam Road, Bundawarrah Road, Research Station Road, Thanowring Road, Mandamah Forest Road and Grogan Road.
Access to Queensland along the major highways - the Newell, Carnarvon, New England - has been cut by floodwaters.
The public is reminded to never drive through floodwaters.
