An Art Deco Albury home built in 1954 by the Abikhair family has attracted huge interest and a sale price of $1,320,000.

It was the first time the Lindsay Avenue home was put on the market, having been in the family for nearly 70 years.
Expected to attract more than $1 million, the property was sold above reserve to Travis Barker and wife Sondra for $1.32 million.
Mr Barker's construction company Barker Group built the six-storey Hamilton development on the former Hungry Jack's site on the corner of Hume and David streets.
More than 150 people gathered to witness the result of the auction by Stean Nicholls Real Estate on Saturday.
Auctioneer Lachlan Hutchins said that 150 parties had inspected the property.
"Everyone knows this home - that's why the crowds turned up today," he said.
"It's absolutely magnificent and has been meticulously kept.
"Something unique like this is so rare.
"After 150 groups, it's now up to the local market.
"The market is still very strong and I don't think that's going to change."
Mr Hutchins said the central Albury home, renovated in 2010, was admired for its curved features, grand staircase and finishes.
